Ficus carica Verdone CL, Fig variety Verdone CL

Early variety, ripens from late August until the first frosts, as the fruits ripen, even when the branches are left without leaves. They weigh 50-70 g. The skin is thin, but the fruits are very resistant to manipulation and this makes them excellent late figs for the market.

The name Verdone CL is a subject of debate among experts. In general, this name in Italian language is suitable for a light-colored fig, not a dark one like this. This variety came to us with this name from the famous Italian nursery Apice Piante. To avoid confusion, we kept the original name. Regardless of the name, however, the variety is magnificent, produces abundantly and the fruits are of excellent quality.
