Agave mckelveyana, McKelvey's Century Plant

This Agave could reach up to 50 cm in height and according to many internet sources, it will survive at least -18°C, which means, that it is suitable for those places in southern Bulgaria and the Black Sea coast, which remain above the temperature inversions in winter.

A key factor for good growth in our climate is a sunny and well drained place. It is vitally important, that there is no standing water on the soil surface around the plant in winter, but also in summer. Protecting from the sun during the freezing time in winter, could be beneficial as well.

The small plant on the pictures is the size, offered for sale at this price.
