Variegated Incense Cedar
Calocedrus decurrens ‘Aureovariegata’
Calocedrus decurrens ‘Aureovariegata’ is a large tree with orange-brown to grayish bark, smooth at first, becoming fissured and exfoliating in long strips on the lower trunk on old trees. The leaves are similar to thujas and cypresses. The basic colour is dark green and this variety has some leaves entirely rich yellow. After transplanting and the first winter mainly the yellow leaves may turn brown and even fall off which is just a temporary discomfort before it establishes. Tolerates any well-drained soil and full sun areas. Fully hardy to -24°C, can withstand temporary drop to -29°C.

This is a variety with very juicy and delicious fruits. It is suitable only for the warmer regions of Bulgaria because the new branches do not harden off very well and are prone to frost.
Moisture during fruit ripening affects the crop. The "eye" opens easily, after which the fruit ferments. Therefore, watering should be avoided after the beginning of August.
It is not yet known whether this variety needs pollination.

Calamondin, the perfect ornamental citrus
Important notice! Most citrus plants on the market are produced for planting in orchards in the Mediterranean countries. They have a large overall height, have high graft and are difficult to shape and support at home. Rootstocks on which they are grafted are very fast growing, which is fine for the open ground in the subtropics, but is not desirable when growing in pot in the temperate climate.
All our small citrus plants are produced specifically for the Bulgarian market and are ideally suited for home cultivation. The rootstocks cause compact growth, grafts are low and this allows making an excellent shape of the crown, to be suitable for growing in pots. The used rootstocks are trifoliate orange (Poncirus trifoliata 'Flying Dragon') and Volkamer lemon, Citrus volkameriana. Trifoliate orange is frost-hardy to -25°C, and significantly increases the cold resistance of plants grafted on it.
Citrofortunella mitis, Calamondin, the perfect ornamental citrus from Botanical Garden - Plovdiv, Bulgaria
If you want a mandarin plant, which blooms all year round and freshens the air with a pleasant fragrance, to set fruits throughout the year, and is laden with ripe fruit throughout the year, the Calamondin should be your choice. This is probably the best ornamental citrus. Fruits are sour but as they stay on the tree all year round, usually they are left for decoration.
As with all other Citrus plants, the Calamondin is susceptible to scales and spider mites and needs to be sprayed twice a year.
In winter it will need a cool place with temperatures 0-10 degrees Celsius. If the temperature is higher, the leaves usually fall off. In summer it needs to be outside and abundantly watered.

Citrus x Clementine
Mandarin Clementine from Botanical Garden - Plovdiv, Bulgaria
Clementines are a hybrid of mandarin and sweet orange, sometimes called Algerian Tangerine. In just a century, this hybrid has grown to a group of varieties that cover several months of maturing and are among the most popular dessert Mandarins.
Characteristics of the fruits of the Clementines are:
- - strong flavor
- - juicy with high sugar content
- - low acidity
- - thin peel
- - separate in 7 to 12 segments
- - ripen in late November to late January
- - seedless
Typical of clementines are their seedless fruits. But it depends on growing conditions and agrotechnics. Regular fertilization and cross-pollination with other citrus varieties are results in a different number of seeds inside the fruits.
As with all other Citrus plants, the orange is susceptible to scales and spider mites and needs to be sprayed twice a year.
In winter it will need a cool place with temperatures 0-10 degrees Celsius. If the temperature is higher, the leaves usually fall off. In summer it needs to be outside and abundantly watered.

Canary Island Date Palm, 120-130 cm, pot 4 ltr.
Canary Island Date Palm
Phoenix canariensis
The Canary Island Date Palm comes from deserted areas on the Canary islands. Despite it's powerful root system, it does not tolerate drought, when grown in pot. This is easily visible, when the leaf tips start to turn yellow and dry. In winter it should be kept cool, down to 0 degrees Celsius. It needs much sun to be able to develop it's full glory. If the surrounding air is very dry, this palm will still thrive, as long as it is watered regularly.
This size of Canary Island Date Palm comes in a small container. If they are not moved immediately to a bigger container, they need to be watered during summer at least once a day.

Table grape Attica
Vitis vinifera subsp. vinifera cv. Attica
Velika is the Bulgarian desrete grape variety, which was created by Research Scientist Ivan Todorov Ph.D., at the Experimental field of IASS “Obraztsov Chiflik” – Rousse, via hybridization of cultivars Bulgar and Alphonse Lavale in 1987.
In terms of grape size and grain size, this variety is superior to all other varieties of tenth grapes and is deservedly the most attractive among them.
The bunches are about 500/600 g, the grains are oblong, with a dense but not tough skin in a deep blue-black color, covered with a waxy coating. The seeds are soft and not felt when consumed. The fruit has a balanced taste. The variety has very good durability during transport and longer storage. It ripens in August.
The variety is susceptible to mildew, oidium and gray rot. Has medium resistance to low temperatures.
Note: The plants are available in a 2-3 liter container and are fully rooted and developed.

Buddah's Hand Citron
